Looking for an entertaining and educational event for your elementary school….
Gwendolyn, the Graceful Pig is about two pigs who dream big–Gwendolyn loves to dance and her best friend, Omar, wants to play football. For a truly lively school event, I bring dancers with me from local companies and dance schools. While I read the book, the dancers perform the story (approximately 25 minutes). After the reading/dance performance is finished, we have a question and answer session with the children in the audience (10-15 minutes). It is a great way to demonstrate the joy of reading and dance. Girls and boys love the performance (and teachers love it as well). Kindergarten through fourth grade is the ideal audience. Even for the youngest kids, the event holds everyone’s attention.
